MAKING THE FIRST VISIT FUN & EASY
We understand a first dental visit can feel overwhelming for parents and kids. Our goal is to make it a stress-free experience! We focus on making your child feel safe and comfortable from the moment they walk in.

REMEMBER: It's best to schedule your child's first appointment when their first tooth appears, or no later than their first birthday.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE APPOINTMENT?
We structure your child's first visit to focus on comfort, familiarity, and a personalized plan.
01
Meet & Greet:
We review your child's dental and medical history.
02
Imaging:
We take X-rays (if necessary) to get a full view of the teeth and jaw development.
03
Personalized Plan:
The doctor meets with you to discuss clinical findings and images, answer your questions, and create a personalized plan.
04
Fun & Comfort:
We introduce tools and techniques by using terms like “Tickle Brush”, “Elsa Juice”, and “Mr. Thirst!” to reduce fear.

MAKING APPOINTMENTS
Preschool & School-Aged Children:
Appointments are best scheduled in the morning. We can work more slowly and ensure they are alert and at ease.

School Absence: Dental appointments are considered an excused absence. We work to keep time out of school minimal through continuous, efficient care.

IMPORTANT POLICY: Please note our 24-hour cancellation policy to avoid a $50.00 missed appointment fee for operative visits.
WHAT TO BRING
We will send your patient paperwork to you prior to your visit. Completing these forms beforehand saves time and lets us focus 100% on your child's comfort the moment you walk through our door!
COMPLETED PATIENT FORMS
Please fill out all forms sent to you via text/email/portal.
INSURANCE CARD
Your current dental insurance card.
PATIENT HISTORY
Any necessary medical or previous dental records.
PLEASE NOTE: We highly encourage a parent or legal guardian to accompany your child’s first dental visit. For future appointments, if a parent or legal guardian is unable to attend, we will require consent for that person to be present during treatment and/or to make treatment decisions on your child’s behalf.
